There are many procedures and departments that play a role in our patients receiving a diagnosis. At Regional Urology, one role that plays an intricate part is called the histopathology lab.

Histology is the study of microscopic structures of tissues.Histotechnologists are responsible for preparing the tissues for diagnosis. This consists of grossing, processing, embedding, cutting, and staining slides. The slides are then viewed by a pathologist who makes a diagnosis.

We at Regional Urology realize that a fast and accurate diagnosis is essential to patient care and are proud of our ability to offer it with our in-house histopathology lab.
