Learn about the minimally invasive surgical options we have available.
Robotic assisted surgery is a form of laparoscopic surgery performed with the use of small instruments placed through tiny incisions. Using the robot, these arms are controlled by the surgeon from a computer console next to the patient.
There are many potential benefits to robotic surgery including decreased pain and blood loss as well as a shorter hospital stay.
Many Urologic surgeries are being performed robotically. In fact, the first robotic surgery performed in the area was done by Regional Urology, and we will continue to lead the Ark-La-Tex into the future of robotic surgery.
Below is a list of common surgeries performed robotically. This is not a complete list and will continue to grow as the field of robotic surgery continues to expand.
